Posture and quality of life in children with hemiparesis

Aim of the study: Evaluate posture and quality life in children with hemiparesis assess relation between them. Study Design: observational-cross-sectional study was conducted National Institute Neuromotor System Giza Governorate. Subjects & Methods: Sixty cerebral palsy, 28 girls 32 boys whose ages ranged from 6 to 10 years old, participated this study. The Postural assessment software (PAS/SAPO) used their body digitalized pictures (anterior, posterior, right, left lateral views). participating evaluated through Pediatric Quality Life Inventory Version 4.0 (PedsQL 4.0). All statistical measures were carried out using SPSS package program. Results: deviations characterized by asymmetry acromions, anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS), scapula alignments posterior view. It also adopted head, trunk, knee flexion reduced ankle angle views. There a decrease PedsQL scores (all domains total score).
